Purchasing Screens

As an optional extra, you may wish to add a fly screen to the window or door purchased from the GEM Window and Door Warehouse Sydney. Fly screens are optional, however all windows and doors come with screen tracks as standard and you can always add a screen at a later date.

The benefit of getting the screen at the same time, is that you save a set-up fee chargeable if the screens are ordered at a later date.

Our screens are fitted with a black fibre glass mesh into an aluminium frame colour matched to the window or door you purchase from the GEM Window and Door Warehouse. We can also supply screens with black aluminium or black stainless steel mesh if required.

For sliding and stacker doors we can supply black grille with single diamond design barrier door screens, as well as heavy duty Super Screen barrier mesh door.

There is a made to order lead time for fly screens or fly doors.

Good to Know

Bear in mind, that if you have a BAL requirement, you may need to upgrade the mesh to either aluminium or even stainless steel. You can see BAL Rating table and details in our Technical Section. Please make sure you know of any such requirement for your property. Aluminium and stainless steel mesh screens can be made to order, which involves a two week lead time.
